Druck&Medien Awards 2015: Druckstudio nominated in five categories

The panel of 31 judges for the prestigious Druck&Medien Awards has announced the finalists and winners for 2015. This year, entries from the Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio Group have received a total of five nominations, making it onto the shortlist in the following categories: “Commercial Printer of the Year”, “Business Report Printer of the Year”, “Catalogue Printer of the Year”, “Digital Printer of the Year” and “Most Environment-Oriented Company of the Year”.

Druckstudio is one of the PrintStars 2014 – Management team accepts bronze award

The Druckstudio Group won one of the coveted “PrintStars 2014” for a very special print product in the Business Reports category at the Innovation Awards of the German Printing Industry. Managing Director Werner Drechsler accepted the bronze award at the Liederhalle convention centre in Stuttgart on 18 September. Druckstudio was honoured for the Metro Group 2013 Annual Report, which it produced in a completely environmentally friendly process.

Druckstudio double winners at the gregor international calendar award

7 February 2014 – the Druckstudio Group has received two of the prestigious gregor international calendar awards. Werner Drechsler, Managing Director of the Druckstudio Group, accepted prizes for the “Delta Premiumkalendar 2014” and the “F. + J. Minthe | Sand- und Kieswelten” photo calendar at the awards ceremony in Stuttgart on 23 January 2014. The judges singled out the interplay of originality and top production quality in both calendars.

Düsseldorf – City of Ideas: 100 years of design and advertising in Düsseldorf

Students and lecturers from the design faculty at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences spent two years studying and researching their project to present 100 years of design in, from and for Düsseldorf. Their extensive exhibition went on show at the Düsseldorf Japan House towards the end of last year and was augmented with a series of special lectures. The catalogue, containing more than 1,200 illustrations across over 400 pages, was sponsored and published by the Druckstudio Group.

Gold for Druckstudio Group at the Innovation Awards of the German Printing Industry

The Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio Group was awarded gold in the “Corporate Books” category at this year’s Innovation Awards of the German Printing Industry. Managing Director Werner Drechsler accepted the award at the Liederhalle convention centre in Stuttgart on 16 October. The award was presented for the décor book “Interprint Living in Contrasts”. With this exceptional print product, the print and media service provider shows just how innovative offset printing can be.

Fourth successful PSO certification for Druckstudio Group

Following its fourth successful certification to ISO 12647-2, the Druckstudio Group has once again obtained the coveted PSO seal of approval. The company has been certified according to the criteria of the Offset Printing Process Standard since 2006. This certification documents the company’s consistently high quality and performance levels for print products.

Double award – Druckstudio Group is Germany’s most eco-friendly print shop and prints the best magazines

The Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio Group has won two awards in the leading industry competition. The media service provider received the prestigious Druck&Medien Awards in the Most Environment-Oriented Company and Magazine Printer of the Year categories. In presenting the awards, the judges praised the holistic focus on sustainability and the wide range of surface finishing options for corporate publishing products. Managing Directors Dirk Puslat and Martin Piszczek accepted the two awards in Berlin on 22 November.

Druckstudio top of the ECOPRINDEX: Ranking of the 50 greenest print shops

Druckstudio GmbH tops the ECOPRINDEX 2012, which is currently the only integrated industry-wide eco-rating service for print buyers.
The ECOPRINDEX online search engine helps print buyers find and select eco-friendly print shops. In addition to official certifications etc., the environmental index’s rating also includes companies’ own initiatives and awards they have won, which print buyers previously had little knowledge of.

Druckstudio Group invests in high-performance equipment from Heidelberg

The Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio Group has updated its prepress and press operations with new equipment from Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. The print shop invested in the world’s first Speedmaster XL 106 five-colour press with inline coating unit and Inpress Control even before drupa.

Best delivery partner 2012: Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio Group receives z:award for the first time

For the first time, the Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio Group has received the “Supply Partner Excellence Award” z:award, which the Zetweka Print & Production Management agency presents in recognition of outstanding performance by its supply partners. This award reaffirms the Druckstudio Group’s efficient business processes, excellent delivery reliability and consistently high quality. Each year, Zetweka chooses the top supply partner of the year from its approximately 50 suppliers around the world. Werner Drechsler, Managing Director of the Druckstudio Group, accepted the award in Düsseldorf on July 7.

Double award winner – Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio Group wins gold and silver at Sappi European Printers of the Year 2012

The Druckstudio Group from Düsseldorf is among Europe’s elite. The print shop won not one but two awards at this year’s Sappi European Printers of the Year – the Oscars of the printing industry. A Druckstudio product brochure received gold in the “Printer’s Own Promotion” category, while drupa report no. 3 was awarded silver in the “General Print” category. The print shop saw off stiff competition from across Europe thanks to its high-quality products with innovative surface finishes. This is the third time in succession that Druckstudio has received a “European Printer of the Year” accolade.

Germany’s Best Employers 2012 – Druckstudio Group honoured for fourth time

The Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio Group has once again made it into the ranking of the top 100 employers in Germany. The company has been named one of “Germany’s Best Employers” by the Great Place to Work Institute, thus underlining the company’s continuing commitment to its employees. Dirk Puslat, Managing Director HR, accepted the award at the gala ceremony in Berlin, Germany, on 8 March 2012.

Triple certification – the Druckstudio Group achieves DIN EN ISO 9001, DIN EN ISO 14001 and DIN EN ISO 50001

The Druckstudio Group applied for three certifications in 2011 and passed them all first time. The Düsseldorf-based media company is now certified to the internationally recognised standards for quality management (DIN ISO 9001), environmental management (DIN ISO 14001) and energy management (DIN EN 16001). These certifications confirm the Group’s consistently high focus on quality and the environmentally friendly and energy-efficient production of its print products.

Druckstudio is the first printer in the world to adopt the Heidelberg Saphira Eco product line

At Druckstudio, a comprehensive approach to the issue of sustainability in its individual ecological, economical and social dimensions is by no means a recent trend, but has instead served as its guiding principle for the last several years. As such, the Druckstudio Group in Düsseldorf is the first printer in the world to implement that approach with regard to consumables and completely switch to Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG’s environmentally friendly Saphira Eco line, which satisfies even the most stringent environmental standards for consumables in the print media industry. Saphira Eco is the first collection on the market of inks, coatings, printing plates and other consumables exclusively based on environmentally friendly criteria. It allows Druckstudio to complete its transition to a fully sustainability-orientated business model.
