On 19 October, the Druck & Medien Awards were presented at a festive gala hosted by Laura Wontorra at the Grand Hyatt in Berlin, and the Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio Gruppe did not return to Düsseldorf without an award this year either. The company received the bronze Druck & Medien Award for the “Recycled Paper Printer of the Year” category. In addition to this award, Druckstudio Gruppe was also among the finalists in the following categories: “Commercial Printer of the Year” and “Magazine Printer of the Year”.
The “Recycled Paper Printer of the Year” award undoubtedly confirms the company’s high sustainability standards. In this specially created category, printers with a high sustainability approach are given the opportunity to have their environmental commitment recognised. Decisive criteria are idea & concept, layout and quality and ultimately the desire for more sustainability in the use of recycled paper and/or recycled cardboard, all of which must be labelled with Blauer Engel, the German government’s prestigious eco-label.
Every year, Deutscher Drucker Verlagsgesellschaft honours the best companies in the German print and media industry for outstanding achievements. With 25 categories, the Druck & Medien Awards show for the 19th time how diverse and broad the industry is. Print products, individuals as well as teams and companies are honoured.
