The expert jury of the DNP has once again selected the Druckstudio Gruppe as one of the pioneers of transformation in its industry. We have therefore been nominated for the German Sustainability Award for Companies, which is being presented this year in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Economics and the DIHK to particularly exemplary companies in the German industry.
We are delighted with this nomination, as we are making considerable efforts to produce in a more climate-friendly and circular way. Our measures include reducing energy consumption, using recycled Blue Angel and FSC-certified paper, using environmentally friendly and biodegradable printing inks and optimising waste management.
We are also continuously working to further reduce our own ecological footprint within the company. The use of renewable energies, more efficient production processes and the utilisation of waste heat (e.g. for heating) are key factors. We pay attention to regional origins and short transport routes when it comes to paper. Transformation is also achieved by complying with sustainability standards that are based on the cradle-to-cradle principle for printed products.
We use recycled or biodegradable materials for the production of media carriers and packaging, operate production processes with renewable energies and promote the recyclability of our products.
On the road to climate neutrality, unavoidable residual emissions are offset by credible climate protection projects. Content is also an indirect but important lever for our industry: we produce content for sustainability-oriented customers that provides practical support for knowledge and the discourse on transformation.
