The world’s first Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 in the new drupa design was set up at Druckstudio GmbH in March 2008. The five-colour machine with inline coating unit is our industry’s productivity benchmark. Designed for maximum print output of 18,000 sheets per hour in 75 x 105 format, the fully-automated Speedmaster XL 105 is the perfect production machine for industrial label, packaging and job printing.
The machine supplements the existing range of equipment in the print room. “The XL 105 means that we can be even more flexible, fast and quality oriented in our production operations and it equips us to meet the increasingly demanding challenges in the field of offset printing,” explained Managing Director Werner Drechsler. “The new Hycolor inking and damping system also puts a lot more colour on the paper – a decisive advantage for our clients with high quality requirements.” The machine features the InkLine fully-automated ink feed system for extremely reliable and continuous ink feed in high print runs. A second ink cycle for Iriodin and scented inks makes the machines more flexible and reduces set-up times.
