Druckstudio GmbH exclusive supplier of sustainable print products for The German Sustainability Award 2009

The German Sustainability Award 2009 will be presented on 6 November and all the print products for the ceremony will be produced by Düsseldorf-based print shop Druckstudio GmbH – exclusive supplier for the event – using climate-neutral and sustainable methods. This includes everything from the information brochure and invitations to the documentation produced at the end of the competition.

According to the German Sustainability Award office, Druckstudio GmbH was selected following a thorough assessment process “because the print shop’s corporate strategy focuses strongly on sustainability.” Decisive factors include environmental protection measures (such as climate-neutral printing and certification in line with FSC guidelines) and social criteria (the corporate culture is geared towards openness, transparency and involvement).

A symposium marking German Sustainability Day will be held on the same day as the award ceremony in Düsseldorf. Speakers will include Martin Piszczek, one of the directors of Druckstudio GmbH, who will be talking about the opportunities and benefits of sustainably printed products. In his lecture, Piszczek will be demonstrating how companies in all sectors can stand out from the competition with environmentally friendly print products.

This is the second outing for the German Sustainability Award under the patronage of German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel. It recognises companies who have combined exemplary business success with social responsibility and environmental protection – and adopted sustainable business practices to achieve further growth.
