This reaffirms the premium printing service provider\u2019s leading role in sustainable print production, not only nationally but also by European standards.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Druckstudio Group first received EMAS certification for its environmental management system at its D\u00fcsseldorf location in March 2020. This latest recertification impressively demonstrates that the company is continuously improving its environmental performance, significantly exceeding legal requirements.<\/p>\n EMAS is considered one of the most demanding environmental management systems in Europe. As part of the recertification process, which takes place every three years, companies are comprehensively audited by government-approved external environmental auditors. Among other things, the audit assesses compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, the transparency of environmental documentation, and, in particular, the demonstrable, continuous improvement of environmental indicators and environmental performance.<\/p>\n The Druckstudio Group has performed impressively across all areas. \u201cEMAS certification is credible proof that we are consistently aligning our business activities with the aim of gradually reducing our environmental impact,\u201d explains Managing Director Werner Drechsler. It is particularly worth noting that sustainability is not viewed within the company as a mandatory requirement, but rather as a voluntary, long-term process of innovation and improvement.<\/p>\n For the Druckstudio Group, green printing means sustainable print production throughout the entire value chain.<\/strong> To this end, the company relies on environmentally friendly materials, resource-efficient processes and modern technologies. This includes certified quality, environmental and energy management systems, as well as DE-UZ 195 Blue Angel<\/strong> certification, recycled paper, environmentally friendly vegetable oil-based inks and varnishes, chemical-free printing plates and the complete avoidance of IPA alcohol.<\/p>\n Furthermore, the Druckstudio Group uses green electricity, photovoltaic systems and heat recovery systems on its printing presses. In this way, the company makes an effective contribution to environmental and climate protection, particularly in the areas of heating and electricity \u2013 the largest sources of CO\u2082-emissions in production.<\/p>\n The extent of this commitment was also highlighted by the concluding remarks of the external auditor, Dr Uterm\u00f6hlen of AGIMUS GmbH:<\/p>\n \u201cIt is clear that the emissions reductions achieved by Druckstudio are significantly above the SBTi\u2019s minimum ambition level (Science Based Targets initiative) and should be regarded as a disproportionately large contribution to decarbonisation in line with a 1.5 \u00b0C-compatible transition pathway.<\/em><\/p>\n Had all global emitters implemented reduction rates and transformation speeds comparable to those of the Druckstudio Group, it would have been possible to adhere to a consistent global emissions reduction pathway to achieve the 1.5-degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n With its successful EMAS recertification, the Druckstudio Group once again underlines its commitment to combining the highest print quality with consistent environmental responsibility, thereby continuing to set standards for sustainable production in the printing industry.<\/p>\n Further information and download of our certificate<\/strong>
