The Druckstudio Group from Düsseldorf is among Europe's elite. The print shop won not one but two awards at this year's Sappi European Printers of the Year – the Oscars of the printing industry. A Druckstudio product brochure received gold in the “Printer’s Own Promotion” category, while drupa report no. 3 was awarded silver in the “General Print” category. The print shop saw off stiff competition from across Europe thanks to its high-quality products with innovative surface finishes. This is the third time in succession that Druckstudio has received a “European Printer of the Year” accolade.

The Düsseldorf-based Druckstudio Group has once again made it into the ranking of the top 100 employers in Germany. The company has been named one of “Germany’s Best Employers” by the Great Place to Work Institute, thus underlining the company’s continuing commitment to its employees. Dirk Puslat, Managing Director HR, accepted the award at the gala ceremony in Berlin, Germany, on 8 March 2012.

The Druckstudio Group applied for three certifications in 2011 and passed them all first time. The Düsseldorf-based media company is now certified to the internationally recognised standards for quality management (DIN ISO 9001), environmental management (DIN ISO 14001) and energy management (DIN EN 16001). These certifications confirm the Group’s consistently high focus on quality and the environmentally friendly and energy-efficient production of its print products.

At Druckstudio, a comprehensive approach to the issue of sustainability in its individual ecological, economical and social dimensions is by no means a recent trend, but has instead served as its guiding principle for the last several years. As such, the Druckstudio Group in Düsseldorf is the first printer in the world to implement that approach with regard to consumables and completely switch to Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG’s environmentally friendly Saphira Eco line, which satisfies even the most stringent environmental standards for consumables in the print media industry. Saphira Eco is the first collection on the market of inks, coatings, printing plates and other consumables exclusively based on environmentally friendly criteria. It allows Druckstudio to complete its transition to a fully sustainability-orientated business model.

In recognition of its commitments, it received the accolade "Social Print Project of the Year" at the Druck&Medien Awards 2011. Host Barbara Schöneberger presented Druckstudio with the prestigious industry award at the gala event in Berlin, honouring the company's consistent commitment to social causes. Druckstudio supports associations and institutions that help children and young people in the Düsseldorf area. The Druckstudio Group has once again obtained certification to ISO 12647-2 and therefore received the coveted PSO seal of approval. The company has been certified according to the criteria of the Offset Printing Process Standard since 2006. The certificate documents the performance level and high quality standards of Druckstudio’s print products to the outside world.

Düsseldorf-based company Druckstudio GmbH was awarded silver in the prestigious "Company reports" category of the 2010 German Printing Industry Innovation Awards. The company report "Gauselmann – Die Spielemacher 2008" was received well by the panel of judges. Of the ten nominations in this category of print products, Druckstudio GmbH was represented a total of three times. Martin Piszczek, one of the Managing Directors of Druckstudio GmbH, accepted the award on 18 November at the Liederhalle convention centre in Stuttgart.
